Our approach
Ark Byron takes its name from Ada Lovelace Byron who was one of the first computer programmers, born in 1815 - two hundred years before Ark Byron opened.
Computing prepares children to take part in a rapidly changing world in which work and other activities are increasingly transformed by access to varied and developing technology. Through Computing teaching children learn how to use computers, to understand how they work and how to change how they work. Children are taught to understand and apply the fundamental principles and concepts of computer science including algorithms and how to be digitally literate; responsible and creative users of information and communication technology.
