Clubs

We offer sports and skills clubs provided by specialist external providers, and members of our staff team, plus a  "Wrap Around" care club at Ark Byron. See below an overview of how after-school clubs work at Ark Byron and a snapshot of all club offerings with their key details. Children from low income families/those receiving benefits who are entitled to Pupil Premium will receive subsidy for the costs (currently one free club per term).

Allocation of places
We send out a list of after school clubs with details before the end of each term and you have the opportunity to request clubs, ranking them in terms of preference.  We will inform you of the club/clubs your child has been allocated and then you can contact the provider for payment/with queries.

Behaviour
Please note recurrent non-attendance may result in your child losing their place so it is important that parents think carefully before signing their child up for a club. If a child's behaviour in a club does not meet the school's high expectations for pupil behaviour, and disrupts other club members, they will lose their place in that club and the cost may not be refunded.

Cost
See below the pricing for each individual club. We endeavour to keep costs as reasonable as possible so that all children have the opportunity to enjoy at least one enrichment offering.

Dates
NB Clubs will break during the half-term holidays and do not take place on staff training days.

Communication
Any questions about clubs e.g. "What do children need to wear/bring/" etc should be addressed directly to the club provider. The links below will take you straight to the provider's email address and further contact details can be found on our school website.
*Children will be picked up from the main gates in the playground. Club providers will confirm pick up location with parents.

NB: Snacks
All children can be given a snack to eat at the start of their club. 

Breakfast club runs every day from 7:45am to 8:35am and cost £3.50 per day; all children are welcome.  NB Children who are entitled to Pupil Premium can attend the Breakfast club free of charge.  Please contact info@arkbyron.org to sign up.  If your child is entitled to Pupil Premium, you will be eligible for a free place - please contact Miss Watson.

Aktiva operates the after school care club at Ark Byron. This "wrap around care" club is every day from the end of the school day to 6:00pm. Children are given a healthy snack and are able to participate in adult and child led activities in a relaxed fun environment. Please go to the Aktiva website at www.aktivacamps.com to register and book your sessions.

Our setting at Ark Byron use the workshop and the playground. Pick up will be from the main school entrance. There is an Aktiva sign on the door with the site managers number. Please call and our staff will bring your child to you.
