Re-opening Reception and Year 1

Please see the Reception and Year 1 pages for information about re-opening.

Summer 2 Learning at Home:

This page will be updated with the learning summaries for Years 2 to 4 at the start of Summer 2.

During Summer 2 it will not be possible to support families in the same way as Summer 1 because many of our teachers are needed to support the class bubbles for Reception and Year 1.  Contactteachers for each year group are:

  • Year 4: Miss Cok
  • Year 3: Mr Etherton
  • Year 2: Miss Berry (and Mrs Rahman)

Summer 1 Learning at Home:

Even though we are not in school as usual, we hope the resource packs that have gone out to you, will help your child to keep learning in the coming weeks. It is not possible to replicate school at home and we all need to draw on our school values of courage, exploration and endeavour to do the best that we can in this unprecedented time.  We know many of you have many challlenges in supporting your children - whether that is younger children to care for, your own work, lack of enough suitable technology and the worries this pandemic presents. We do not want to overwhelm you. These packs have been put together to make the learning accessible to your child and to support you as best we can. Remember to enjoy time with your child - getting them involved with housework, cooking and family games is fun and great learning too!

There is an excellent FREE book available online, written by Elizabeth Jenner, Kate Wilson & Nia Roberts Consultant: Professor Graham Medley Professor of Infectious Disease Modelling, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine Illustrated by Axel Scheffler:  Please use this link:

Your child's class teacher will email guidance each day to help you and your child with learning.  We will also phone you each week to check on how your child is getting on.  Please do not hesitate to email your child's teacher if you have any questions about the learning and to give feedback.  Teachers will very much welcome photos of the learning your child is working on so that they can feed back to your child.

We are in the process of updating individual class pages in order to give you additional support at this time.
