We are still encountering some teething problems with IT in our new building. This is being worked on, but it can prove difficult for us to pick up phone messages. Please email us (if you can) rather than leave messages so that we can respond quickly - firstname.lastname@example.org.
Learning a foreign language is an opening to other cultures and deepens understanding of the world. Weekly language lessons are taught from Reception. In Reception and Key Stage 1 children are taught to communicate simple greetings and concepts orally whilst in Key Stage 2 children learn to express ideas and thoughts in another language and to understand and respond to its speakers in speech and in writing.
Currently Spanish is being studied in Key Stage 1. In Reception this term children are learning Arabic. Key Stage 2 children will likely study Mandarin Chinese.
